2024-2025 GIFT TO SCHOOL GRANTS:

Skyview PTSA donated $8549 in Gift to School grants this school year!
See what projects the money was granted for below. 

  • Grocery items for cooking class and modified cooking utensils/tools for students.
  • 24 soccer balls, a carry bag, 4 ball pumps to be used during Fun Fridays. Along with crochet 62 yarn skeins and 42 hooks for use by the Crochet Club for Fun Fridays!
  • Small table for fidget toys for Skyview counselor.
  • Wiggle seats for social studies classroom.
  • Origami paper, yarn, colored beads, and string lights for the Origami Fun Friday Club.
  • Fossils for use with the 7th grade science curriculum.
  • 60 Scientific Calculators + 2 calculator caddies for math classrooms.
  • Blackout blinds and film for cafeteria (last of the school windows to get these treatments for safety!)
  • LEGO space shuttle launch system for science.
  • Logitech headphones, and I Survived Books.
  • Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver to wirelessly transmit video from cameras to our broadcasts during school and assemblies.
  • Headphones for learning/research and state testing.
  • Organizer for organizing the absentee documents, missing homework, printed copies for each period etc. Posters for providing the students with visual aids on geometrical figures and relationships among angles.
  • Health room supplies including underwear, socks and bandaids.
  • Large scale Connect 4 Games to use at Socials, Eagle Day, bi-monthly "extra" game time at lunches.
  • Switch Activated Toys & Communication Devices.
  • Zoology Microscope Slide Sets.
  • 20 New Lab Stools!
  • 45 Light Boards.
  • Eagle Day Rentals and Reusable Banners.
  • End of Year Staff Lunch.
  • 2025-26 Planners for incoming 6th graders next fall!

2024 SPRING GIFT TO SCHOOL GRANTS:

Skyview PTSA donated $7650 in Gift to School grants this Spring!
See what projects the money was granted for below. 

  • Renting a Burke Box from the Burke Museum in Seattle for a week in September 2024. The Burke Box contains museum-quality collection pieces, lesson plans, and resources related to archaeology, supporting classroom curriculum in ancient/medieval history for 6th graders.
  •  Blackout shades for all teachers in the T, A, and C buildings to ensure proper window coverings in case of emergencies.
  • 17 more pairs of headphones to replace stolen or damaged ones, ensuring functioning headphones with a microphone for WIDA testing.
  • Supplemental Materials for English from Teachers Pay Teachers to differentiate instruction for students below grade level in the English department.
  • Additional folding geometric shapes for Pre-Alg classrooms to aid in visualizing and calculating surface area and volume of 3D shapes.
  • Wipe book paper whiteboards for Math 6 students to facilitate collaboration and demonstrate thinking during math lessons.
  • Lunchtime equipment including tether balls, volleyballs, soccer balls, basketballs, frisbees, and footballs for lunchtime supervisors.
  • Hand boilers and digital thermometers for weather unit demonstrations and experiments in 6th-grade science classes.
  • Funding snacks and non-food-related rewards for students participating in a positive behavior program involving cleaning the cafeteria after lunch.
  • 10 TI-30XA calculators to replace non-functional ones and support students in complex computations.
  • Highlighters, glowsticks, and other glow-in-the-dark materials for a "glow party" to reinforce critical concepts in Pre-Alg 1/2, such as solving equations.
  • Class set of "New Kid" by Jerry Craft to support struggling readers and provide diverse literature options for 6th-grade English classes.
  • 100 durable headphones for SBAC testing to ensure students have proper equipment for testing.
  • Cork board for displaying maps around the world in the library.
