Do you have questions about paying for college? Northshore high school counseling departments invite you to a workshop to learn about different financial aid options and how to access them. This event will feature Financial Education Services Specialist David Aramaki, along with a representative from the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore.
Each year, the U.S. observes National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx peoples from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a month-long period. September 15th is also Independence Day for the Latin American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates their Independence Day on September 16th, Chile on September 18th and Belize on September 21st.
Spanish-speaking families and Spanish-speaking community members are invited to attend Conversations with the Board. This evening forum is designed to allow for two-way conversation in an informal setting.
School board members would like to hear from parents and community members about the opportunities they see for Northshore and their priorities for the District over the next 3-5 years.
Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, food and drinks will not be allowed and seating is limited. There will be a wait list.
